The Rig Veda, written in India about 1500BC, praises a holy plant called Soma, which is sacrificed and consumed, granting the drinker an experience of enlightenment and ecstasy. The late Gordon Wasson identified Soma as a "magic mushroom," Amanita muscaria, and he and his followers discovered that such Indo-Europeans as the ancient Greeks, Iranians, and Norse had also used a Soma-type plant.

In Ploughing the Clouds Peter Lamborn Wilson investigates the probability of a Soma cult in ancient Ireland, tracing clues in Irish (and other Celtic) lore. By comparing Celtic folktales, romances, epics and topographic lore with the Rig Veda, he uncovers the Irish branch of the great Indo-European tradition of psychedelic (or "entheogenic") shamanism, and even reconstructs some of its secret rituals. He uses this comparative material to illuminate the deep meaning of the Soma-function in all cultures: the entheogenic origin of "poetic frenzy," the link between intoxication and inspiration.

Ich hätte das Foto gar nicht so kritisch interpretiert…
Für mich wäre das die Hand eines Forschers, der Hanfmaterial untersucht, deshalb der Handschuh.
Aber die Schlagzeile mutet für mich persönlich trotzdem etwas merkwürdig an.
Ist doch fraglich ob überhaupt bei LSD gegen Kopfschmerzen ein „Rausch“ in den für diesen Zweck genommenen Mengen überhaupt zu Stande kommt?
Ausserdem könnte man sich wieder über das Wort "Rausch" streiten, ob es in Zusammenhang mit LSD überhaupt passt?
Man müsste die Probanden/Patienten fragen die an den Studien mit MDMA teilgenommen haben, ob sie diese Sitzungen überhaupt als Rausch empfunden haben?
Mir scheint manchmal, das einige Rausch mit einer Art Delirium oder einem nicht zurechnungsfähigen Zustand gleichsetzen.
"Rausch" scheint in unserer Gesellschaft sehr negativ besetzt und etwas Verpöntes und etwas Böses zu sein (Ausser man berauscht sich natürlich mit Alkohol)
Und mit „Droge“ wurden ursprünglich, wenn ich nicht falsch liege, einfach getrocknete (Arznei-, Apotheker-) Waren bezeichnet.
Aber kaum einer in unserer Gesellschaft setzt es nicht mit Rauschgift, Betäubungsmittel, Suchtmittel etc. gleich.
Ich glaube man müsste neue Wörter erfinden, um sich darüber zu unterhalten, fast jedes zu diesem Thema ist mit negativen Assoziationen besetzt.
Aber die Hasch-Spritze hätte noch gefehlt
Vielleicht ist der Artikel im Inneren aber gar nicht so übel...
Danke Bosche fürs Aufmerksammachen, komme ich mal bei einer Buchhandlung vorbei, werde ich einen Blick in das Heft werfen.

Da hast du wohl recht! Wie konnte ich das nur so missverstehen?

Bei Kopfschmerzen kommt doch dieses Bromo-LSD zum Einsatz, welches keinen Rausch verursacht?

Im negativen Sinne verstehe ich Rausch als "sich wegballern" und unzurechnugsfähigkeit ev. gekoppelt mit Junkietum. Ich vermute mal, das geht vielen so ähnlich. Die Wörter aber sind vollkommen in Ordnung. Ist halt wie mit der Schönheit, die liegt ja irgendwo im Auge des Betrachters (verborgen). Siehe auch meine erste Interpretation Titelbildes

Ja stimmt, das Bromo-LSD!!!
Ich glaube Torsten Passie unter anderem hat dazu Studien durchgeführt, dazu gab es hier im Forum irgendwo ein Youtube-Video.
In irgendeinem Artikel, ich weiss leider nicht mehr wo, habe ich gelesen, dass Cluster-Kopfschmerz Patienten auch LSD in niedrigen Dosen geholfen hat, die keine "Halluzinationen" verursachen.
Ist aber schon länger her.
