GARDEN STATES 2021
Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th December

Garden States is a not-for-profit initiative, designed to encourage community building around medicinal plants, research, and psychedelic culture. Get your hands dirty and learn how to grow and share ethnobotanical plants from the experts. Participate in citizen science and meet like-minded botanical folk from across Australia.
Our program is designed to explore relationships between humankind and plants, including gardening, conservation, sustainability, culture, art, altered states, spirituality, philosophy, psychedelic research, harm reduction and politics.
The conference will take place as an in-person event on Friday and Saturday, 3rd-4th December 2021. On Sunday, 5th December, we’ll be hosting an informal community gathering in the afternoon, including an outdoor plant meet and a book swap for in-person attendees. We’ll also provide additional streaming content on Sunday, 5th December from remote keynote presenters. Garden States Keynote guests will include, but will in no way be limited to David Holmgren, Dr Margaret Ross, Bruce Pascoe, Janet Laurence, Dr Alison Pouliot, John Seed, David Nickles and Keeper Trout.
If you can’t make it along in person, you can still be part of the conference. For the first time, we’ll be operating as a hybrid online event, allowing people from across Australia and around the world to tune in. Online attendees will have access to the main stage live conference stream made up of keynote lectures and discussion panels. All 2021 EGA Garden States Conference ticket holders will have access to the recorded livestream for three months after the conference. All ticket holders will receive a copy of the 2021 EGA Journal, with the physical or digital format of the journal they receive depending on their ticket category.

Psilocybin London Symposium (In-Person & Live Streaming)

Join us this October for a one-of-a-kind experience as we explore the enticing world of psilocybin mushrooms. In celebration of mushroom season, renowned speaker Francoise Bourzart will be making a special visit to the UK to share her fascinating knowledge, among others, in a collective journey of talks and live music focused on psilocybin mushrooms, and their role in healing and culture.
As psychedelic research continues to emerge and psilocybin moves closer to the forefront of global attention, it's critical we discuss how to use this compound in a sustainable, safe way. What can we learn from indigenous communities who have used psilocybin mushrooms for hundreds of years? What has modern-day science revealed about the potentials of this intriguing fungus? And in what ways could the mainstreaming of psilocybin create global cultural shifts? Our psychedelic therapy and mycelial specialists will uncover some of these questions and respond to any audience curiosities in an interactive panel.
Intertwining the talks and the panel will be live folk music, and enchanting sounds from the mushrooms themselves using bio-sonification technology
After a year of online-only communication, we are delighted to bring the psychedelic community back together in person, meeting and connecting through shared interests and a web of mycelial roots under our feet!
Money raised from the event will contribute towards increasing our harm-reduction education, and towards finishing the final edit stages of The Psychedelic Renaissance - a not-for-profit documentary feature capturing the scientific and cultural shifts within the psychedelic movement.
